    John D. Droppers, 76, uncle of the late David E. Birkhoff, Madison, died at his home in Milwaukee Wednesday. Mr. Droppers was a brother of Mr. Birkhoff's mother. He is survived by his widow, a son, Herbert; a daughter, Mrs Gertrude Braun; a granddaughter, Jean Droppers; two brothers, Walter and Henry; and two sisters, Ms. Cassius Sercombe and Dr. Joan Droppers. Funeral services will be held at 2 Friday afternoon in Milwaukee, with six letter carriers as pallbearers. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery, Milwaukee."
