      6 juli 1776:
      Peindinge door Henderik Schaars contra Jan Willem Vriesen op en aan een gaarden, den Schuttersgaarden gent. gelegen bij of voor Ww. tussen 't land van de Erfgenamen van Harmen Schoemaker ter eenre en dat van Garrit Schieven Harmensz. ter andere zijde.

      In 1784 komen Jan Willem en Christina voor op de lijst van weerbare mannen en vrouwen van Bredevoort. Ze wonen dan in het Woold.

      De jongste kinderen van Jan Willem en Christina zullen waarschijnlijk op school geweest zijn in het Woold. Deze school was in 1792 gesticht. De meester was de oudste broer van Christina, Jan Derk Schepers. Hij werd na zijn dood in 1796 opgevolgd door zijn oudste zoon Jan Willem Schepers.
